A West Palm Beach woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly fled from U.S. Marshals and Riviera Beach police with an alleged fugitive in the passenger seat, according to an arrest report.
The woman ended up in a hospital after she was pinned between her own car and an unmarked police vehicle.
Shavondra Lavet Daniels is facing a charge of fleeing and eluding police with disregard for persons or property. Daniels, 24, was released from the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday after posting a $5,000 bond.
U.S. Marshals were conducting surveillance on the 800 block of West 3rd Street when they saw Bobby Coe, a fugitive with outstanding warrants, get into the passenger seat of a Hyundai Sonata.
Daniels was in the driver’s seat and refused to stop for officers, racing around Riviera Beach in a reckless manner that included driving on the wrong side of the roadway, the report said.

Daniels eventually stopped at the intersection of 34th Street and Westview Avenue, got out of the car and put her hands up, the report said. Coe got into the driver’s seat and tried to leave but could not get the car out of neutral.
Coe then got out of the car and surrendered, the report said.
The car remained in neutral and rolled forward, pinning Daniels between the Hyundai and an unmarked Ford Explorer.
Daniels was taken to West Palm Hospital. The extent of her injuries were not disclosed but they weren’t enough to keep Daniels from going to jail later that day.
Coe is facing charges of fleeing and eluding police at high speed, resisting an officer without violence, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. Coe, 24, was released from jail Wednesday after posting an $8,000 bond.
